The GBGB Trainers Assistance Sub-committee administers the Trainers Assistance Fund. Trainers are encouraged to apply for grants as below:
Grants for all trainers The GBGB is able to award ALL trainers (both Greyhound and Professional) grants as follows:
AIR MANAGEMENT – 100% funding towards the purchase and installation of air management systems in vans (Download an information sheet and application form)
AIR CONDITIONING – up to 50% funding towards the purchase and installation of air conditioning in vans up to five years old (Download an information sheet and application form)
TRAVEL CAGES – up to 50% funding towards the purchase and installation of travel cages in vans up to five years old. Cages must meet the minimum sizes and standards as required by the Government and GBGB. (Download an information sheet and application form)
Hardship and Development Grants Trainers that have held a Professional trainer’s license for more than 12 months are able to apply for grants of up to £5000 to assist:
- In times of genuine financial hardship
- The financing of kennel improvements and other essential projects that will benefit the welfare of greyhounds in their care

Grants for Professional trainers affected by floods
